The Veil

The Veil was created for a night long sonic vigil by the Infinity Rug collective, transitioning into the summer solstice and exploring grief through sound and shared space.

The piece looks at the veil between the seen and the unseen, presence and absence, memory and perception. Working with the voice as primary material, it moves into the space where language begins to fail, allowing sound, breath and emotion to carry what words cannot.

Ilhem performed The Veil as part of the Infinity Rug collective alongside Lou Drago, Marum, Moreiya, El Bango and Vibrational Arts.
