Echoes of Eurydice

Commissioned by Orpheus Cosmetik and Videnie Gallery, Echoes of Eurydice expands on Ilhem’s ongoing exploration of voice, memory, loss and transformation, developed through her solo work and debut album, What Lingers in the Echo.

Inspired by the myth of Eurydice and her passage between the underworld and the living world, the concert explores the space between presence and absence, memory and forgetting, loss and renewal. Voice becomes both narrator and guide, carrying fragments of memory through repetition, breath and song.

Created for Videnie Gallery’s immersive environment, the performance extends the work beyond the stage, bringing voice, sound and moving image into dialogue with the architecture and visual space. The commission marked a further development of Ilhem’s approach to live performance, using immersive visuals not as accompaniment but as part of the composition itself.
